Digital strategy development

An excellent series of articles by Paul Boag in which he basically outlines what his design agency does (and what most don't) through a sort-of tutorial and fake case study. A great primer on digital strategy development.


Paul emphasises that to truly do an effective job on a website development, you need to go beyond the website and understand the business and the environment in which it operates. In an (ongoing) series of articles he looks at:

  • Understanding the business
  • Identifying opportunities and threats
  • Bringing focus to a strategy
  • Planning for ongoing development and implementation of the strategy

And while this press release is basically an outline of what Paul's agency Headscape does, it's worth a read as it's - for me at least - a coherent rationale for sustainable website management. It's what I aspire to anyway.
