- Decide what are the most important things you want users to do. Then make these things prominent and easy
- When asking the user to take time to do something, answer the user’s question: “What’s in it for me?”
- Arrange text so people can “scan” before they “read,” or they probably won’t
- Test your forms (like checkout) for functional problems
- Clearly communicate what your site does, and why people should use it compared to the “other guys”
