Lou Rosenfold's new book, "Search Analytics for Your Site - Conversations with Your Customers" is due out in the next week or so. In the meantime there's a free chapter. I find the topic fascinating and Lou really knows his stuff.
Learning about your website visitors from the terms they type into your search box should be a bit of a no-brainer. It's like a quick conversation with your users without ever meeting them.
I've blogged previously about Lou's ideas and techniques and tried them for myself. Really looking forward to this book.
Lou was one of the authors of the classic "Information Architecture for the World Wide Web" - otherwise know as the polar bear book. Probably the first webby book I ever bought.
